Many children are unaware of the effects of smoking cigarettes. Children do not know that they can cause cancer. Are companies influencing adults or little children?
Cartoons easily impress children at a young age. Cartoons promote violence
laughter. Cartoons like Joe Camel promote the use of tobacco. Old Joe Camel because
they believe that such figures will appeal to adult smokers and encourage them to change

have these characteristics; they have bright colors and they act cool. I noticed that they

wears sunglasses. Wearing sunglasses has always been cool to wear. And as they see
Joe Camel acting cool they notice that smoking is also cool. Those commercials show
that smoking is cool.
The boys dream of becoming a cowboy has always existed in little kids.

fantasy. I as a child also had that fantasy. My little brother likes to wear tight jeans,

average smoker smokes a pack a day. In one year thats wasting about $1095 or more a
year! Thats a lot of money. The Tobacco industry makes billions of dollars each year
and they dont care about your existence all they want is your money. And they waste
millions of dollars in advertising . Tobacco companies lose more that half a million
customers a year so they need to get new customers. And the kids of today are the
customers of tomorrow there is limited restrictions for the purchase to the youth, and the
uses of vending machines are can be easily used by teens.
If people only read the side panel of a cigarette box they will probably think twice
before opening another pack.
